University of Hertfordshire

MSc in Business and Occupational Psychology

The Industrial and Work Psychology Programme includes two courses with overlapping modules, the MSc Business Psychology and the MSc Occupational Psychology.  There are core courses for both in Research and Professional Skills, Psychological Assessment at Work, Learning, Training and Development and Leadership, Engagement and Motivation.  However, the Business Psychology course offers modules suited to the business organisations such as HRM for psychologists, Strategic Management and Marketing for Psychologists.  This enables students from both streams to do an optional module from the other course depending on their interests.  The course is delivered by lecturers with both academic and consultancy experience and emphasises an evidence based approach with a focus on the acquisition of professional and applied skills.  There is also wider engagement with the profession through speaker events.
